Andrew Happer, MBA, M.Eng., P.Eng., CFEI

Management Team

Andrew is one of Sintra Engineering’s long-standing employees, having been with the firm since 2001. In that time, he’s had a variety of leadership roles and has assisted clients with various property and motor vehicle investigations. Andrew has appeared in court a dozen times, both in British Columbia and Alberta, and been accepted as an expert in forensic engineering to provide testimony before both judges and juries (civil and criminal). Andrew has a Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of BC, specializing in Computer-Aided Automation in Mechanical Engineering. He has also completed two graduate degrees: a Masters of Mechanical Engineering and a Masters of Business Administration in Technology Commercialization from the University of Alberta. His vigor for reconstructing the events surrounding a loss stems from his love of solving all kinds of puzzles ranging from Rubik’s challenges, wire ring puzzles, to word scrambling games. This love has evolved to completing more life-size challenges such as the UrbanQuest scavenger hunt and the Breakout Live Action Escape Game. It’s true to say that Andrew is easily distracted if given a problem to solve.

Hidden Talent - I spin a mean Yo-Yo, breakdance and can recite memorized rap lyrics from lots of old-school rap songs.

Favourite Board Games - I love to play Dominion, 7 Wonders, Ticket to Ride, Carcassone and Settlers of Catan.

Most surprising thing about you - I’ve been a skateboarder since 1986 and still enjoy hitting various skate parks during family holidays. My claim to fame was having a skateboarding photo published in the Nov. 1993 issue of Thrasher magazine.
